Our craft story

More than a decade of craft, passed on by hand.

StitchWorks Studio exists to teach tailoring the way it should be learned — at the machine, on real fabric, with a mentor who has spent a career perfecting the craft. We turn practical skill into livelihoods.

Business overview

A vocational studio for Canada's tailoring trade

StitchWorks Studio is a vocational training institute focused on providing practical, high-quality education and skills development in tailoring, garment construction and boutique operations. Our goal is to equip individuals — particularly women and youth — with the skills they need to succeed in Canada's growing tailoring and fashion-services market.

The Canadian apparel market was valued at approximately US $39.6 billion in 2023, supported by a US $10.5 billion tailoring and alteration services market. Yet there remains a shortage of job-ready talent in tailoring and garment finishing. StitchWorks Studio bridges that gap with specialised, hands-on training that meets the industry's real needs — including culturally diverse garments such as ethnic and modest wear.
